Nigerian singer Nico Gravity has publicly disclosed that he is battling a heart-related condition.

In a video shared on Facebook by fellow artiste Baba Fryo, the veteran musician is seen appealing to the public for financial support.

In the clip, Nico Gravity also revealed that he is suffering from a kidney infection, which has affected his ability to urinate normally.

According to the singer, his health struggles began with high blood pressure, which led to heart failure and subsequently caused kidney complications.

“Guys, I am very sick. For the past two months, I have been diagnosed with heart failure. I need help. I have been urinating blood, which is a kidney issue,” he said.

“The doctors say I should run a series of tests. I underwent a kidney function test, and I was told my kidneys have serious problems. I need urgent help.

“I was informed that my blood pressure affected my heart, and then my heart affected my kidneys. I have spent all I have, and I cannot go out to hustle for money. Please, I need urgent help. I still have many more tests to do. Please, I don’t want to die. Help me.”

Born Paul Nnamdi Okpara, Nico Gravity rose to fame in 2009 with his hit single ‘I Wan Finish Timaya’, which he described as a direct critique of dancehall singer Timaya.

He is widely recognised for his compelling lyrics and the raw energy of his distinctive Ajegunle music style.
