Ayra Starr, the Grammy-nominated singer, has revealed that her highly anticipated third album ‘Starr Girl‘ will be released in July.
The 23-year-old singer announced the release date during a guest appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show
With her signature confidence and poise, Starr explained that the album represents a major milestone in her artistic journey; one shaped by growth, intention, and an unwavering commitment to her sound.
“My album, ‘Starr Girl’ — that’s me, by the way — drops in July,” she said.
“I am so proud of this body of work. I put everything into it, and I can’t wait for the world to hear it.”
‘Starr Girl’ follows the success of her previous projects ’19 & Dangerous’ and ‘The Year I Turned 21’.
The singer, born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, rose to fame in 2021 with her hit single ‘Bloody Samaritan’.
She was discovered by music executive Don Jazzy and is signed to Mavin Records.
Starr has continued to gain global recognition, earning several awards and nominations.
At the 2025 MOBO Awards, Starr won ‘Best International Act’ (the first African female to win the prize) and ‘Best African Music Act’.
The singer was nominated for the 2026 Grammy Awards in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category. She, however, lost the category to South Africa’s Tyla.
