What is the fate of our youths? ASUU extends (6 months old) strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has once again extended the strike which is now 6 months old. This decision was made during the national executive council meeting at union’s headquarters.

This meeting started on a Sunday and proceeded till the next day, Monday, August 29th.

At the branch congresses, a unified decision was made to continue the strike indefinitely, this was at the congress held in Imo State University. The union is on strike due to the fact that the Federal Government and University Staff can’t come to a unified decision.

The strike which commenced on February 14th, 2022 was only supposed to last for 4 weeks, however, One month later, it was extended because ASUU was not satisfied with the response from the government concerning the ongoing ASUU strike.

Nigerian youths are groaning as the educational system of the country deteriorates day by day.

This really makes one wonder, what’s the next move?, where do we go from here?

How long will the educational system suffer? WHAT IS THE FATE OF OUR YOUTHS?
