Tonto Dikeh, the Nollywood actress, has announced she will no longer be referred to by the title “king” — a nickname she popularly used for herself over the years.

The film star took to Instagram to share that the decision aligns with “the will and purpose of God” for her life, revealing it came as a direct instruction from the Holy Spirit.

The actress, who frequently styled herself as “King Tonto,” has now requested that fans and followers address her using more modest titles including “the woman of God,” “Evangelist Tonto Dikeh,” “Auntie Tonto,” or simply “Big T”.

“In alignment for the will and purpose of God upon my life, I will no longer be addressed as King Tonto Dikeh, you can call me the woman of God, evangelist, Tonto Dikeh, Auntie Tonto or better still, Big T. Whichever one suits you, but from today I will no longer be addressed as King Tonto and this is one the instructions of the Holy Spirit,” she said.

Recently, the actress has been on a journey of faith, opening up about how God delivered her from sexual immorality, anger, masturbation, and addiction.

Dikeh also announced that she and Olakunle Churchill, her ex-husband, have finally “buried the hatchet,” ending their decade-long public feud after their union controversially ended in 2017.
