A social media user has advised media personality Chike to publicly apologise to broadcaster Frank Edoho over allegations involving the latter’s wife.
In a statement shared online, the man said seeking public sympathy on social media was not enough, insisting that true honour could only be restored through humility and reconciliation.
Addressing Chike, whom he described as an Igbo man, the commenter said tradition demands that anyone who wrongs another man’s family should admit wrongdoing and face the affected family with respect.
He urged Chike to approach the family of Edoho alongside respected elders or mediators to seek peace and reconciliation.
The man further advised that any apology or restitution required by Edoho’s tradition, including drinks, fines or symbolic items, should be offered without resistance.
According to him, if cleansing or reconciliation rites are demanded by the family, Chike should comply wholeheartedly and avoid pride.
He added that a public promise never to repeat such an act would also help restore honour before appealing to the public for sympathy.
“That is how honour is restored, not by seeking sympathy from the public,” the commenter stated.
