The Adamawa State Police Command, on September 7, arrested a 19-year-old girl, Rumasau Muhammed for stabbing her 35-year-old husband to death.
According to the police spokesperson, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the suspect stabbed Muhammed Adamu with a knife after seeking for divorce and the deceased refused. Angered by his refusal to divorce her after several requests by her, the suspect committed the act and the victim was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced d*ad.
Investigation revealed that Rumasau was forcefully married to the deceased by her parents against her will on August 6, and the marriage lasted for only three weeks before the ugly incident.
