Drake has released his long-anticipated sixth album, Certified Lover Boy.
The 21-track album boasts guest verses from JAY-Z, Future, Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Ty Dolla $ign, Kid Cudi, Rick Ross, Lil Baby, Project Pat, Tems, and more.

Drake first announced the new album in May 2020 with an Instagram post published alongside the release of the mixtape Dark Lane Demo Tapes, writing that the album would be out in summer 2020.

The album’s lead single, “Laugh Now Cry Later” featuring Lil Durk, came out in August 2020, with the album’s title revealed at the same time. Originally expected in January 2021, Certified Lover Boy was delayed after Drake suffered a leg injury, requiring surgery.

On September 1, two days before the album’s release, billboards were placed throughout the United States, Canada, and Nigeria revealing the album’s featured artists according to their hometown. A billboard in Lagos announced Tems.

“Certified Lover Boy” is Drake’s first proper studio effort since 2018’s “Scorpion”, though in-between both albums, he has wooed his fans with three releases; his 2019 compilation, Care Package, 2020 mixtape Dark Lane Demo Tapes, and the three-track Scary Hours 2 EP.
