A theft in Atlanta has resulted in the loss of hard drives containing unreleased music and sensitive materials belonging to global superstar Beyoncé.
According to the police report, the hard drives containing unreleased songs, show plans, and past and future set lists for her tour were stolen from a car rented by her choreographer during a ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour stop in Atlanta.
The theft occurred on July 8, barely two days before Beyoncé kicked off the Atlanta leg of her ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour.
Christopher Grant, the singer’s choreographer, told police that when he returned to his rental car, he found that its rear window had been smashed and all the luggage in the vehicle stolen.
In his report, he said the computer drives had “contained watermarked music, some unreleased music, footage plans for the show, and past and future set list (sic)”.
According to him, other items missing include an Apple MacBook, headphones, and several items of luxury clothing.
Police in the southeastern US city of Atlanta said a suspect for whom a warrant has been issued is still at large.
Beyoncé is currently on her ‘Cowboy Carter Tour’, which is also the name of her 2025 Grammy-winning album.
The tour kicked off on April 28 and would run through till July 26.
