Caroline Ejibunu, the Nigerian lady from Ondo state, has completed her attempt to set a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for the most hairstyles created in 24 hours.
The hair maker, who began the quest on December 4, was able to create 200 hairstyles in 24 hours.
Speaking about the attempt, Carolaura, as she is fondly called, said the exercise is a proof that “no dream is too big”.
She also expressed gratitude to her family, friends, team and the Ondo kingdom for their support.
“This event has shown that no dream is too big and no community too small to make an impact on the global stage,” she said.
“To my parents, pastor, church, friends, team, the Ondo Kingdom, and everyone who supported this journey, I am eternally grateful. Together, we made history.”
Carolaura earlier disclosed that the exercise was to showcase “Nigeria as a hub of talent and ingenuity to the global world”.
She also affirmed that she got a formal approval from the GWR organisers to embark on the attempt.
The event, which took place at City Walk 2.0, Ademulegun Road in Ondo state, was attended by several dignitaries.
They include Benson Akinkuolie who represented Adesimbo Kiladejo, the paramount ruler of Ondo, and Oladiji Olamide Adesanmi, speaker of the Ondo state house of assembly.
Carolaura’s achievement is now subject to verification and confirmation by the GWR.
Currently, there is no record holder for the most hairstyles made in 24 hours in the prestigious British reference book.
