Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, leader of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has accepted President Bola Tinubu’s invitation to visit Nigeria this year, according to the presidency.

Tinubu made the invitation during bilateral talks on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025.

Bayo Onanuga, special adviser to the president on information and strategy, said in a statement issued on Thursday that both leaders “explored attracting investment into Nigeria”.

Tinubu arrived in Abu Dhabi, UAE capital, on Sunday as Al Nahyan’s guest.

The statement said the president delivered Nigeria’s position on climate change and other challenges on Wednesday.

Tinubu also touted Nigeria’s capability to yield significant returns on investments.

He said his government’s economic reforms are yielding fruits and have stabilised the economy, encouraging foreign investors to announce billion-dollar investments.

The president was accompanied to the UAE by Yusuf Tuggar, minister of foreign affairs; Wale Edun, minister of finance; and Nuhu Ribadu, national security adviser (NSA).

Tinubu thanked Al Nahyan for the warm reception he and his aides received.
