Tonto Dikeh, the Nigerian actress, has clarified that her recent reconciliation with ex-husband Olakunle Churchill is strictly for co-parenting their son and not a romantic rekindling.

The film star spoke during a recent livestream session, where she also reflected on her spiritual journey and early calling to ministry.

Addressing speculation about her relationship status, Dikeh stressed that the reconciliation is centred on their son King Andre.

“If you read my post carefully, you would know that it is the love my son has found, not the love that I have found,” she said.

“We are back as parents. God has blessed us with a beautiful son that we need to join hands to take care of.”

Churchill and Dikeh tied the knot in 2015, but their marriage ended controversially two years later.

Since their split, the duo have often exchanged digs on social media, including a heated war of words on Instagram in 2020.

But on Saturday, Dikeh announced that two ex-lovers have buried the hatchet after a decade of acrimonious public feud.

During the same live stream, the 40-year-old actress opened up about her lifelong spiritual calling, revealing she nearly became a pastor at age 19.

“I have always had this calling right from when I was a child. At 19, I was going to be a pastor until I just ran away for no reason,” she said.

“I’ve been in church since I left secondary school. So I’ve known God intimately, I’ve known God intensely, for as long as I was a child. And I’ve always known that I have this calling.

“If you watch what has happened in my life, it’s not ordinary. Anybody who may have or may walk in my shoes may not have survived, would not even survive.

“Because God called me for something and He needed me to go through all of these things to come out of the firebrand that I am today.”
