Speed Darlington, the controversial singer, has challenged his colleague Portable to a rematch after losing in their highly publicised celebrity boxing match.

The bout, which took place on Friday night, ended in a technical knockout (TKO) victory for Portable after Darlington failed to rise in the second round.

The clash began with an intense first round, during which Portable dominated with aggressive punches.

In the second round, Darlington struggled to maintain his footing, ultimately collapsing and prompting referees to declare Portable the winner.

In an Instagram video posted after the fight, Darlington accused Portable of holding an unfair advantage, citing his rival’s street-honed fighting background.

“It’s so unfair,” he said.

“I have never been in a ring before because I did not come from poverty. I never needed to learn how to fight. We didn’t need to snatch food from people, so I didn’t need to learn how to fight that’s why it looks like I don’t know how to fight.

“But now, I’m a man and I feel like it’s important for a man to know how to throw a fist. So now, I’m going in and I need a rematch. You do not deserve that money.

“Give me two months and 15 training sessions, and I’ll be ready. That prize money should be mine.”

The singer also mentioned that he plans to use “juju” (voodoo) to gain an edge in the rematch.

The rivalry between the two singers began when Darlington invited Portable to perform at his show and offered him N500,000.

Portable, however, rejected the offer, mocking Darlington for being “poor” and claiming his performance fee was N20 million.

In his response, Darlington accused Portable of insulting his mother.

Portable responded by challenging Darlington to a fight. He boasted that he would defeat him just as he did to actor Charles Okocha.
