Former Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has felicitated with Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima on the occasion of his 59th birthday.

Dr Aliyu, in a statement on Tuesday, described Shettima as a bridge-builder and visionary whose leadership continues to inspire confidence among Nigerians at home and abroad.

Born in 1966, Shettima governed Borno State for two terms before moving to the Senate. He later emerged as Vice President after the 2023 general elections, becoming a key figure in Nigeria’s political landscape.

“I warmly join millions of Nigerians and well-wishers around the world in celebrating you today, our dear Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON. You are a man of uncommon wisdom and resolute courage, with a lasting commitment to Nigeria’s progress.

“You are not only a leader of vision but also a bridge-builder whose humility and compassion inspire confidence in a brighter Nigeria. Your political journey embodies integrity and an unyielding devotion to inclusive governance that reaches every corner of the nation,” she said.

She Aliyu, who holds the traditional title of Zinariya of Lokoja, said Shettima’s style of leadership has helped foster peace and unity at a time when Nigeria faces diverse challenges.

“As a statesman with a heart for the people, you have continued to promote justice, peace and unity — qualities our nation deeply treasures at this moment in history.”

“On this special day, I pray that the Almighty grants you long life in good health, renewed strength, and greater wisdom to continue serving our nation with distinction,” the former minister added.
