Hajiya Yardada Maikano Bichi, the Treasurer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, has stated that nobody should ever think or dream that the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) will survive in Kano in the next few months.

The Kano State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, on Wednesday, sacked Abba and declared the APC candidate, Nasir Gawuna, the winner of the March 18 governorship poll.

The three-man panel, led by Justice Oluyemi Akintan-Osadebay, further withdrew the Certificate of Return that the Independent National Electoral Commission had presented to Yusuf.

Explaining the reasons for sacking the Kano governor, the panel stated that the margin of votes scored by NNPP was invalid and did not comply with the 2022 Electoral Act.

The judges deducted 165,663 votes from NNPP, noting that the ballot papers of the 165,663 votes were not stamped or signed, rendering them invalid.

In an interview over the weekend, Hajiya Yardada said, “Nobody should ever think or dream that NNPP will survive in Kano.

According to her ,NNPP victory in the last election was merely an opportunity that Allah Subhanahu wata’Allah gave them to test who they are, and they have shown their true colors to the entire Nigeria, not only in Kano.

“I want to reaffirm that, Insha Allah, NNPP has come to an end, not only in this dispensation but forever, and not only in Kano but in the entire country of Nigeria. I won’t go into details; we have seen and heard so much about the leadership of NNPP and its members.

“For any right-thinking person to wake up and think that NNPP as a party in Kano will survive, I would say, to be modest, I’m sorry, that person must be dreaming, for a number of reasons.”

Speaking about Governor Abba’s first 100 days in office, she said, “If we refer to what transpired within the first 100 days of their administration in terms of their activities, actions, and utterances, I doubt very much if they can survive beyond the next two months.

“We are all witnesses to what they did in terms of the total destruction of the state’s economy. Many buildings, structures, and business places were brought to the ground and completely destroyed.

“They put the business people, and not only them but also each and every individual in the state, on hold because the whole economic activities in the state were disrupted,” she said.
