Nkechi Blessing Fires Back At Critics Over Viral Gym Photo

Nkechi Blessing, the Nigerian actress, has reacted after a social media user shared an unflattering photo of her at the gym.

The picture, which has been circulating on social media, shows the actress seated in a relaxed posture during a workout session with her stomach visibly pronounced.

Reacting in a series of posts via her Instagram story on Thursday, Nkechi said she went to the gym “to stay fit and healthy,” not for “a fashion show or runway”.

The actress dismissed the criticism, saying her focus remains on her health journey.

“I went to the gym to stay fit and stay healthy not for fashion show or runway. How I suppose look for gym after a long day abeg?” she asked in pidgin English.

“It is well. Una go soon intensify una attack cus una never see anything.

“Nkechi trying to stay healthy and fit in the gym is a topic? With my big belle and pride. Una go dey alright for real. Even with the big belle, I still got ate out last night.”

The movie star added that those trying to mock her would not succeed because she is “clothed with grace”.

“You really cannot disgrace a woman clothed with so much grace,” she said.

“And to you that took that picture, I leave you in the hands of God. He will judge you accordingly.”
