The 29-year-old made this known on Sunday, August 28, in a statement signed by his lawyers,Yeo Moriba and Rafaela Pimenta,according to the news agency AFP.
The allegations came after Pogba’s brother Mathias Pogba, who has played professional football in several countries but is now without a club, posted a bizarre video online on Saturday night in four languages (French, Italian, English and Spanish) promising great revelations about the World Cup winner and Pimenta.
“The whole world deserves to know certain things so the public can decide if [Paul Pogba] really deserves the admiration, the respect, his place in the France team, if he is a trustful person and worth representing the world’s youth, working-class areas and big brands,” -Mathias Pogba on Saturday.
France Info reports that during various interviews with the authorities, Paul Pogba is understood to have said that he was trapped by childhood friends and two hooded men armed with assault rifles during an incident in Paris.
According to him, the gang- of which his brother Mathias would be a part – demanded €13m from him and has intimidated him several times since, including at the Juventus training centre in Turin, where he told the police that he recognised his brother Mathias Pogba among the suspects.
