The Minister of State for Defense and former Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Bello Matawalle, has reiterated his allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC) while commending members of the party for their steadfast support.

During a six-day visit to Zamfara, Dr. Matawalle welcomed supporters at his residence in Gusau, where he announced donations worth millions of naira to bolster the APC and allied groups in the state.

He described the contributions as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s structure and ensure its continued success.

In addition, Matawalle disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had provided a significant quantity of rice for distribution to APC supporters across Zamfara.

He said a committee has been established to oversee the fair allocation of the items, he added, emphasizing the president’s solidarity with the party’s grassroots.

The former governor stressed the need for unity among APC members, pledging regular engagement with supporters to foster dialogue and progress.

He also highlighted his collaboration with Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar in advancing the party’s agenda.

Matawalle thanked President Tinubu for prioritizing infrastructure in Zamfara, particularly the dualization of the Zaria-Funtua-Gusau-Sokoto road, which he noted was already under construction.

On security, Dr. Matawalle reassured Zamfara residents of the Federal Government’s resolve to end banditry.

He revealed that President Tinubu had approved the procurement of advanced military hardware, including Armoured Personnel Carriers and warplanes, some of which have already been delivered. These measures, he said, signal a robust federal commitment to restoring peace in the region.

Matawalle’s visit served to reinforce his bond with the people of Zamfara, underscoring his dedication to the state and to the nation at large.
