The Nigerian socialite, Etieno Ime Martin, popularly known as Ivana Wahala, has denied any link to a nude video circulating on social media.
The video, which has been making the rounds on X, formerly known as Twitter, was alleged to feature the socialite.
In a statement posted online on Monday, Martin described the video as false, offensive and deliberately targeted at damaging her image.
She said the perpetrators were driven by malice and a desire to tarnish her personal brand.
“The sole aim of the perpetrators ostensibly is to tarnish my image,” she stated.
Martin said she had never been involved in any sex video at any time, insisting that the footage did not represent her in any form.
“I strongly refute being involved in any sex video of any kind at any time. The video is not in any way a portraiture of my image or person, neither is the act connected with me,” she said.
According to her, the narrative was being pushed by detractors bent on sabotaging her reputation.
She described the act as “unwarranted and unholy sabotage” taken too far.
The socialite also distanced herself from any account on X, stressing that she does not operate a Twitter account.
“Any account on Twitter bearing my name or brand’s name is fake and should be disregarded by my fans and members of the public,” she said.
Martin warned those behind the circulation of the video to desist immediately.
She urged members of the public to discountenance the content, describing it as defamatory and aimed at dragging her name in the mud without justification.
The socialite said she would not hesitate to petition the police for the arrest and prosecution of anyone who continues to spread the false narrative.
She reaffirmed her commitment to protecting her image and reputation against what she called coordinated attacks by detractors.
