Ibrahim Chatta, the Nollywood actor, has lost his son.
The actor announced the passing of his child via a post on Instagram on Saturday.
Sharing a picture of the boy, Chatta acknowledged God’s sovereignty while praying for his son to rest in peace.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ileyhi rajiun Ya Allah. You are the knower of all things. Rest on dear son. Champ,” he wrote.
Fans and colleagues have taken to the comment section to offer their condolences to the actor.
Chatta, however, did not disclose the cause of his death.
The news comes barely days after Yoruba actress Peju Ogunmola lost her only child Ayomikun, who was just 24.
Chatta started acting at 15. He rose to fame for his role in the movie ‘Aiyekooto’ (2012) and has since established himself as a veteran in the industry.
Some of his notable films include ‘Atini O’go’, ‘Mafi Wonmi’, ‘Olo’, ‘Mafi Sere’, ‘Orere Laye’, and ‘Ebere Adigun’, among others.
In June, Chatta opened up on how he lost his first child – a girl – because of his inability to pay hospital bills.
The actor also recounted that his daughter was buried in a modest manner, wrapped in an old wooden Coca-Cola crate, as he couldn’t afford a proper casket.
