Offset, the American rapper, has opened up about his regrets following the end of his marriage to Cardi B.

The duo, who married in 2017, experienced a highly public and turbulent relationship, marked by breakups and reconciliations.

They share three children: daughter Kulture, son Wave, and a newborn whose arrival came shortly after Cardi B, born Belcalis Almánzar, filed for divorce in late 2024.

Their split was exacerbated by public accusations of infidelity. Cardi B had previously alleged that Offset was unfaithful with multiple women, a claim he countered by arguing she had also been unfaithful, including during her pregnancy.

In a recent interview with American actress Keke Palmer, Offset, born Kiari Cephus, admitted he was “not perfect” in the marriage.

The 33-year-old rapper also acknowledged his share of the blame for its downfall and confessed to making “poor decisions” and being “selfish,” specifically citing his infidelity.

He expressed his desire to move on from the pending divorce, calling it a “hard thing to do” but necessary. He said he no longer wants the split to define either of them.

“It’s a hard thing to do. I feel like it shouldn’t be the story for both of us, that’s why I’m ready to move on from the divorce,” he said.

“I was definitely not perfect in this situation. I made a lot of mistakes, a lot of things I did wrong, and she did too.

“If I could do anything differently, I would respect her a lot more. I made bad decisions as a man, like stepping out. I was being selfish, and I can say that I’ve grown now.”

Offset revealed that his decision to speak out was driven by feeling “bullied” and the proliferation of what he called “nasty and untrue” narratives about him online.

“I wish there wasn’t so much happening online. I had to step out of line a few times because it felt like I was being bullied,” he added.

“Recently, I tried to defend myself because some of the narratives out there are nasty and untrue.”
