Dapper Live, the Nigerian entertainment company, has officially secured a Guinness World Records (GWR) title for assembling the largest orchestra at an Afrobeats concert.

The historic feat was accomplished on December 16, 2025, during the ‘Trench Symphony: The Dapper Live Experience’ at the Balmoral Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.

In a blog post, the prestigious British reference book confirmed that the event brought together 85 orchestral musicians to perform live alongside prominent Afrobeats artistes, setting a new global benchmark for orchestral integration within the genre.

“The largest orchestra for an Afrobeats concert is 85 and was achieved by Dapper Live & Artists (Nigeria) in Lagos, Nigeria, on 16 December 2025,” the statement reads.

“The attempt took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre and was staged as a live orchestral performance based on an Afrobeats composition. Led by a conductor, the concert featured a lead singer, an accompanying choir, dancers, and 85 musicians performing in coordination.”

The concert was the brainchild of Damilola Akinwunmi, Group CEO of the Dapper Group, who served as the executive producer.

The musical experience was curated by a powerhouse team, including musical directors Bazzman Sam, Fatola, and Clintonic.

Sound design was handled by producer Temitayo ‘Tee Y Mix’ Ibitoye, with engineering support from Mr Bassey, while Director K provided the creative direction. The event was produced by Owambe Events and directed by Dunni Akinwunmi.

The night featured a vibrant lineup of Afrobeats talent, including T.I Blaze, TML Vibez, Bhadboi OML, Rybeena, Lasmid, Cazulee, Kashcoming, and DWillsHarmony.

In a remarkable fusion of genres, Fuji music icons Saheed Osupa and KWAM 1 made special appearances, blending traditional sounds with the grand orchestral arrangement.
