Frank Donga, the Nigerian actor and comedian, has embarked on a new chapter as a multimedia communications specialist for the government of Saskatchewan, Canada.

The news came to light on Wednesday when a screenshot from the official Saskatchewan government website went viral, showing Donga, whose real name is Kunle Idowu, listed in the provincial directory.

According to the listing, the recently relocated actor now holds a position as a communications specialist within the ministry of agriculture.

In a recent post via X, the comedian revealed that he is merging his interests in film and agriculture to create “cinematic agriculture stories”.

He thanked his followers for their support and urged them to stay tuned for inspiring content that reflects his new creative direction.

“My people! I’ve been cooking something! Combining my love for film making with my passion for agriculture,” he wrote.

“Thank you all for reaching out! I’ve been working on cinematic agriculture stories. Watch this space for some inspiring content.”

In 2021, Donga shared his thoughts on relocation, saying people often move in search of places where they can maximise their potential and live in peace.

‘The truth is leaving Nigeria does not guarantee you’ll get rich. Likewise, deciding to stay does not mean you’re more patriotic,” he wrote via X.

“Sometimes, all people want is where they can maximize their potentials & live in peace. Whatever you decide to do, I pray your dreams come true.”

Donga rose to fame through the web series ‘The Interview’ on Ndani TV. The role earned him a nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy at the 2015 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

He has featured in several hit films, including ‘The Wedding Party’ and its sequel ‘The Wedding Party 2’.

Before his rise to fame in the film industry, Donga worked as a journalist and has also built a career as a photographer and filmmaker.
