The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the federal government to deliver people-centred governance in 2026.
In its New Year message, the opposition party said millions of Nigerians have, over the years, continued to grapple with “deep-seated challenges” such as insecurity, economic hardship, and uncertainty due to the “failure” of the government to deliver on promises.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Ini Ememobong, PDP spokesperson, urged the federal government to “without delay, recommit itself to its foremost constitutional duty of protection of lives and property”.
