Rachel Oluwabukola Martins, Nigerian disc jockey popularly known as DJ Dimple Nipple, has reacted to claims that she was hospitalised after fighting with a man at a gym.

The rumours began after a TikTok user identified as @officialchampion01 posted a video describing an incident he claimed happened at a gym.

In the clip, the TikToker said a woman training in the boxing section challenged another man to a fight. The user alleged that the woman threw the first punch, the man hit back, and the blow sent her to the hospital.

Though the TikTok user did not mention any name, social media users began linking the story to DJ Dimple, who is known for sharing clips of her boxing workouts on her social media pages.

An X user identified as @KachySZN further fuelled the speculation, alleging that the disc jockey was beaten until she fainted.

“Dem beat dj dimple to stupor until she fainted she go Dey form for where man Dey because you get big body,” he wrote.

Reacting via her Snapchat story, the disc jockey refuted the claims, saying she had been getting calls and messages from friends and followers over the rumours.

She said while she usually ignores online comments, the extent of the rumour compelled her to speak up.

DJ Dimple also warned critics against “spreading lies” about her while criticising social media users for pushing unverified stories for engagement and monetisation.

“So I am really not the type to care about anything being said about me, but stop spreading lies about me. I have been getting messages from my friends and my followers online about a post on Twitter that I was beaten up at the gym,” the DJ said.

“The most annoying thing about people on that app is that they do anything to get $2 from Elon Musk, but please stop spreading lies about me. I know you wish the worst for me, but whatever you wish me, I wish you times a hundredfold.

The most annoying thing about that X app is that it is so useless that they verify people for any account. Imagine the nonsense. So please, stop spreading lies about me. I am not a troublesome person, I love my peace so much.”
