Digital creator Lucky Elohor dies at 29 after car accident

Lucky Elohor, the Nigerian digital creator and founder of the GROW Network, has died at age 29.

Her death was announced on her official Instagram page on Tuesday.

Popularly known as Digital Creator Chic, Elohor built GROW Network as an online platform dedicated to career development and professional growth, mentoring hundreds of young Nigerians.

In a statement accompanying the obituary, her family described her as “a light, full of purpose, grace, and an unwavering commitment to impacting lives”.

They also requested privacy and prayers as they mourn, stating that further burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.

“It is with profound sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved Lucky Elohor,” the statement reads.

“Elohor was a light, full of purpose, grace, and an unwavering commitment to impacting lives. She built with intention, loved deeply, and served selflessly through her work, her community, and her faith.

“Though our hearts are heavy, we are comforted by the assurance that she has gone to be with the Lord, and that her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.

“We ask for your prayers, love, and respect for the family during this time of mourning. Further details will be communicated in due course.”

It was gathered that she died following a car accident in Ilorin, Kwara state capital.

A close friend of the deceased shared a detailed account of what led to her death, while lamenting about emergency response failures in the country.

According to the post, a pothole caused the accident. The friend disclosed that in the immediate aftermath, there was no emergency rescue service to transport the victims to a hospital.

The lady revealed that when help eventually arrived, the nearest public hospital was on strike, forcing them to travel to another city.
