Davido, the award-winning Afrobeats superstar, has celebrated his 33rd birthday with a heartfelt announcement: a new album set for 2026.
The celebration took place after his recent show in Atlanta, where he hosted an intimate gathering of family, close friends, and key members of his 30BG crew.
Marking the milestone, the ‘With You’ singer gave a speech expressing his gratitude to God and his team members.
He also announced that he was working on a new album and hinted that it would be released in 2026.
“We thank God and we are going to keep going. We are just starting, more to come in 2026. Thank you for tonight, everyone get home safe. Most importantly keep me in your prayers, I am working on a new album, it is in the works. It is going to be a big year for us all,” he said.
Born David Adeleke, Davido rose to fame in 2012 after releasing ‘Dami Duro,’ the second single from his debut album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’.
He has established a name for himself as one of Africa’s leading artistes as well as one of the Afrobeats ‘Big Three’.
Since his debut album, he has delivered other projects, including ‘A Good Time’ (2019), ‘A Better Time‘ (2020), and ‘Timeless’ (2023).
The singer released ‘5ive’, his fourth studio album, in April.
Davido is also the founder of DMW, a record label established in April 2016. The music label has served as home to a plethora of music talents.
