Damilola Oni, the Nigerian actress famous in the Yoruba film industry, has opened up about being bombarded by sexually explicit messages and images from male fans.
In an interview on Oyinmomo, the actress said she often receives inappropriate photos and messages from men on social media, including older individuals, and that similar comments also appear under her posts.
She added that while she sometimes questions the behaviour, she is not disturbed by it and instead sees it as a reflection of how attractive she is perceived to be.
“Early in the morning, when I open my Instagram, I see several DMs from men sending me explicit pictures, saying, ‘I am everything you need, baby.’ My inbox is filled with all sorts of messages from different men, including elderly ones,” she said.
“Sometimes, I even wonder how we got here and what makes them send such messages. Even in the comment section, some men say they pleasure themselves just by watching me.
“It doesn’t bother me. In fact, it is a source of joy to know they see me as a beautiful and sexually appealing woman.”
She further revealed that she is single because she has not found someone who meets her standards, noting that she desires a God-fearing, well-presented, and single partner.
“I am single. Many people make advances toward me, but they are not my type. When I meet the right person, I will know. I am attracted to men who are God-fearing, good-looking, well-dressed, and educated. I also want a single man, as I cannot be a second wife or a co-wife.”
