Cubana Chief Priest and Ubi Franklin have brushed off rumours of a physical fight between them, laughing it off as “baseless gossip”.
The speculation began on Thursday after a blog claimed that the two men had engaged in a heated argument that escalated into a physical altercation in Abuja, requiring their associates to intervene and separate them.
However, in a recent Instagram video by Israel DMW, Cubana and Ubi were seen seated side by side in the back of a car, sharing laughs and joking about the “false reports”.
In the video, Israel DMW questioned why people would spread such “untrue stories”.
“I do not understand oo, people can lie lie. They were saying CP did not want… Say Ubi dey find invite for wedding,” he said.
Both men are known to be close associates of Afrobeats superstar Davido.
Born Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, Cubana is known for his luxurious lifestyle, often showcased on social media.
He previously served as the general manager of Cubana Groups before leaving in September 2020 to establish his own venture, Club Xhrine, in Owerri, Imo.
Franklin, on the other hand, is an artiste manager as well as an entrepreneur in real estate and startup investment, TV show host and founder of Made Men Music Group (Triple MG).
The record label has managed singers including Tekno, Iyanya, and Selebobo.
