Davido, the Afrobeats star, says Chioma Adeleke has been his girlfriend for 12 years.
The 32-year-old Grammy-nominated singer spoke about his relationship with his wife in an interview on The Baller Alert Show in the United States.
When asked to give a shoutout to Chioma, Davido’s face lit up with a smile as he gushed about her and their twins.
“Shout out to my wife and the mother of my beautiful twins, Mrs Chioma Adeleke. She has been my girl for almost 12 years. I love you and I got you for life,” he said.
In May last year, the singer disclosed that he had known Chioma for 20 years.
Davido met Chioma while studying music at Babcock University.
Their relationship came to light after he dedicated a song titled ‘Assurance’ to her in 2018.
In September 2019, the singer announced their engagement. But their union temporarily hit the rocks in 2021 amid allegations that the singer was in another relationship.
The couple lost Ifeanyi, their first child together, on October 30, 2022.
However, in March 2023, the singer disclosed that he and Chioma had officially married.
“I travelled. I am married. A lot of different things but we are ready now to get back on the road,” he said.
The lovebirds welcomed twins in the United States in October 2023.
Davido and Chioma tied the knot traditionally in June 2024.
