Burna Boy gifts Portable N20m for beating Speed Darlington
Burna Boy has rewarded Portable with N20 million following his victory in the highly publicized celebrity boxing match against Speed Darlington.
The fight, which took place on Friday night at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island, ended in a technical knockout (TKO).
Portable was declared the winner after Darlington failed to stand up in the second round.
In a recent Instagram story, the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker expressed gratitude to Burna Boy for gifting him N20 million.
“20 million from @burnaboygram. If you want to be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu? God bless your family,” he wrote.

Portable’s reward came on the back of an ongoing feud between Darlington and Burna Boy.
In November 2024, Darlington was arrested for allegedly cyberstalking the Grammy-winning artiste.
The controversial singer had taunted Burna Boy over his affiliation with the embattled US rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who is facing multiple charges for sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
He asked Burna Boy to explain how he won the Grammy award for his album ‘Twice As Tall’ — a project executive-produced by Diddy. He claimed there was a sexual relationship between the duo.
Darlington was released in January after two months in prison,
Burna Boy also warned that there would be no leniency if such a situation arose again.
Darlington recently challenged Portable to a rematch, vowing that he will use “juju” (voodoo) to gain an edge in the encounter.
