Katsina United and Barau played out a 1–1 draw in their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 12 encounter at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina, on Saturday (yesterday).

The goal sparked brief periods of pressure from Barau, but Katsina managed to hold on until half-time.
The second half opened with both sides maintaining intensity. Katsina United’s captain, Usman Barau, marshalled his team effectively, displaying composure and tactical awareness that kept the home supporters engaged.
The match remained competitive, with Katsina earning a series of set pieces, including a free kick from Azeez Falolu in the 57th minute, though neither side could convert these early chances into goals.
