Annie Macaulay, the estranged wife of 2Baba, has finally confirmed her split from the singer.
The actress and model, who has been married to 2Baba since 2012, has been silent on their separation since the singer announced it in January.
But at the 17th edition of The Headies, Annie introduced herself with her maiden name as she took the stage alongside Farooq Oreagba to present an award.
She also revealed she is now single, giving a shout-out to single ladies during her introduction.
“Annie Idi… Oh sorry, Annie Macaulay. Hey, single ladies!” she said.
In an interview with BBC, Annie expressed gratitude to her children, describing them as her “backbone” during her trying times.
She also revealed she is working on launching her YouTube channel, Annie Macaulay TV, and plans to release a series produced by her daughters.
“My children are fine. Don’t play with my kids, they are my backbone,” she added.
“Right now, I am working on launching my YouTube channel, Annie Macaulay TV. My daughters have shot an 11-episode series which will air on my YouTube pretty soon.”
The estranged couple has two children together, and their separation has been a subject of public interest.
Annie had recently removed 2Baba’s surname from her Instagram profile.
2Baba also confirmed his relationship with Natasha Osawaru, the former deputy majority leader of the Edo state house of assembly, and proposed to her in February.
