Kogi Born Gospel Singer Theophilus Set To Wed Jamaican Lover

Theophilus Sunday, the Nigerian gospel singer, has announced his engagement to Ashlee White, his Jamaican-based lover.

Sunday took to his Instagram page on Tuesday to share pre-wedding pictures of himself and Ashlee adorned in their white regalia

In an accompanying caption, he wrote, “As it pleases the Lord @itsashleewhite #sailingtosunday”.

Fans and colleagues have taken to the post’s comment section to congratulate the lovebirds on their engagement.

Born in Kogi state, Theophilus is a graduate of the state’s university with a degree in Theater Arts.

He is well known for his spiritual chants and fiery teachings.

Sunday is also the convener of the True Worshippers Concert and leader of the 1Spirit, the Christian music group.

The singer delved into gospel music in 2021 but gained prominence with the release of his hit single ‘Adua (Prayer)’ in 2022.

He has released other hit tracks such as ‘There Is Prophecy Over Me’, ‘Out of My Belly’, ‘Take Everything’ ‘Ejona Weh’, ‘Take Over’, ‘Holy Fire’ and ‘Heart’s Cry’.

Ashlee, on the other hand, is a resimercial agent and real estate developer. She is also the CEO of Ashlee White Estates.

She oversees a non-profit organization (NGO) named Project Safe Haven.

The date for the marital rites is unknown — as of now.
