The singing marathon which is taking place in Lagos, started on July 5th and is coming to an end on July 13.
Sunil Waghmare from India currently holds the record for the longest singing marathon by an individual, lasting 105 hours. The record was achieved in Nagpur, India from March 3 to March 7, 2012.
Kufeji had previously announced his ambitious plan to undertake a 200-hour praise-a-thon with the aim of exceeding the previous record set by Sunil Waghmare.
“Guinness world records has accepted my application to break the record of the LONGEST SINGING MARATHON of 105 hours currently held by Sunil Waghmare (Indian) since March 2012 and the record of the LONGEST CONCERT BY A SOLO ARTIST for 501 hours currently held by Kuzhalmannam Ramakrishnan (Indian).”
“These marathons will be done separately. I’m very convinced that I will break the two records. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” he posted.
