Kunle Remi, the Nollywood actor, has advised against “public laundry” of one’s “private chaos” on social media.

In a post shared on his Instagram story, the actor said such moves often turn people’s personal traumas into public entertainment.

Remi’s admonition comes amid social media drama surrounding the failed marriage of Frank Edoho, the popular TV host, and Sandra Onyenucheya, his ex-wife.

The saga started when the TV host took to X and declared that he would never commit to just one woman again. Before eventually opening up, he was gradually moving on from the failed marriage that was blessed with two children.

The revelation triggered an online pandemonium that resulted in Sandra also coming out to accuse the TV host of being involved in multiple affairs during their marriage and mentioning the names of women he allegedly had relationships with.

Weighing on the matter, Kunle Remi said some personal issues are meant for private healing and should not be subjected to “public performance”.

“Every argument becomes content. Every heartbreak becomes a press release. Every misunderstanding suddenly needs screenshots, captions and background music,” he wrote.

“And the scary part? Oversharing is not being called ‘being real’. No. Being real means knowing that not everyone deserves front-row seats to your private life.

“Some things deserve healing in private, not performance in public.

“Because once social media enters the room… dignity usually steps out.”

Two women, whom Sandra alleged were involved in an affair with Edoho while they were married, have threatened legal action.
