Jessica Nwosu, the former wife of Ugo Ogbonna, the UK-based Nigerian influencer, has denied allegations of infidelity levelled against her by him.
The controversy began a few days ago after Ugo accused Jessica of cheating on him in a now-deleted X post. He also revealed that their divorce had been finalised.
“It’s crazy you’re in my house, sleeping with another man but I’m in London working my ass out to pay your fucking school fees in GBP? No, send your tuition to that man, he is man enough to sleep with another man’s wife. He should match it with his funds. Divorce finalised, gtf,” he wrote.
He also alleged that she had been deported from the United Kingdom.
The allegations sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many users weighing in on the controversy.
While some sympathised with Ugo, others argued that they would reserve judgment until Jessica addressed the claims publicly.
Reacting in a recent X post, Jessica alleged that she endured months of emotional distress and pressure following the end of their marriage.
She also accused her ex-husband of orchestrating a campaign of false allegations against her after she refused to reconcile with him.
Jessica added that she never cheated on Ugo during the duration of their marriage and also demanded N500 million for alleged defamation.
“For the past several months, I have quietly carried the weight of intense emotional distress and private pressure that no one should ever have to endure. Since the end of my marriage, I have tried to move forward in peace,” she wrote.
“But I have been met with persistent attempts to force me back into a relationship I had clearly walked away from, under the claim that we remained ‘culturally married’. Because I chose to stand my ground and reclaim my life, I have become the target of a malicious campaign.
“False, deeply hurtful allegations about my character and my fidelity have been weaponised against me online to punish me for leaving. I want to be absolutely clear: I never cheated on my former spouse-Ugo (Parklins Ifeanyichukwu) at any time during our marriage.”

She described the claims as “fabricated”, adding that the circulation of her private photos and videos online was “heartbreaking and terrifying” and that the experience has taken an emotional toll on her as a woman and a mother.
Jessica said her solicitors will commence legal action against those responsible for the alleged defamatory publications if her demands aren’t met in the next 48 hours.
“These claims are entirely fabricated. Watching my private photographs and videos being dragged across blogs and social media accompanied by cruel insults, harassment, and character assassination has been heartbreaking and terrifying,” she added.
“This has been a deeply traumatic experience, not just for me as a woman, but as a mother. To protect my name, my dignity, and my well-being, my solicitors will commence immediate legal action.
“I believe that those responsible for these defamatory publications should be held accountable. Now, I intend to let the lawful process and my legal representatives handle the situation. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has shown restraint, kindness, and support during this painful period.”
In response, Ugo revealed that “Defense has advised silence on this matter. No further comments from me. All legal queries be forwarded to my firm. Let me focus on my work, biko”.
