Soso Soberekon, the Nigerian music executive, says content creator Carter Efe will receive his N50 million reward today for defeating singer Portable in their recent celebrity boxing match.
The fight took place on Saturday at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event, held at the Balmoral Hall of the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. Efe won decisively by unanimous decision in a one-sided contest.
The loss marked Portable’s first defeat in the celebrity boxing ring. He had previously recorded victories over personalities such as Speed Darlington, Charles Okocha, and Kevin Power.
Ahead of the fight, Portable had revealed that businessman E-Money and Soberekon promised a cash prize of N50 million and a car to the winner.
However, shortly after his victory, Efe expressed frustration that he had yet to receive the promised reward—despite risking his life in the ring.
“Dem never give me my money oo. I never see N50 million ooo. I nearly die for that fight, I never see the N50 million. Make dem pay me the N50 oo,” he said in pidgin English.
In a post via Instagram story, Soberekon asked Efe to come and collect his N50 million today.
“Carter Efe, today come collect fresh N50 million,” he wrote in pidgin English.
In a post via his Instagram page, Efe revealed that the cash handover will take place at E-Money’s residence.
He added that Soberekon would update him on the exact time, noting that he plans to stream the event live.
“May 6, 2026. Going to E-Money’s house to receive N50 million. Soso talk set him go give me time and location,” he wrote in pidgin English.
