Dino Melaye, the former senator representing Kogi West, has become a talking point on social media following his appearance at the 2025 African Democratic Congress (ADC) convention.
The event took place on Tuesday at the Rainbow Event Center in Abuja.
Melaye arrived in a striking outfit: a black long-sleeved button-down shirt, a black face cap, wide-legged beige trousers, and a flowing cape attached at the back.
While some onlookers praised his bold fashion choice, others were less impressed.
Critics questioned his decision to wear such an unconventional ensemble to a formal political gathering, with a few suggesting he should consider changing his stylist.
However, supporters came to his defense, arguing that the outfit, particularly the trousers, added a stylish and confident edge to his appearance.
“Whoever is styling Dino Melaye isn’t doing a great job. Man needs a new stylist,” an X user wrote.
