Olajumoke Orisaguna, the Nigerian model better known as Olajumoke Onibread, has addressed a wave of online backlash following a recent TikTok video that left many fans concerned.

In the now-viral video, the former bread seller-turned-model is seen singing what appears to be a freestyle. While some users found it entertaining, others expressed alarm over her appearance and demeanour, with several commenters speculating that she may have taken up smoking or drinking alcohol.

Responding, the mother of two clarified that the video was created purely for entertainment purposes.

She denied any substance use, attributing the misunderstanding to her attempt to produce engaging content.

“I’m not happy about the comments I saw on my video. Some people were saying that I now smoke and drink alcohol. Why would anyone think that about me? It was just content. I know some people understood that, but it was only content,” she said.

“I don’t smoke or drink — I wasn’t raised that way. Please, I’m begging you all, don’t give me a reputation that isn’t mine. Even when I go to parties and I’m offered a drink, I simply leave it on the table.

“Please understand, it was all just content. Even the song I was singing is not mine.”

Olajumoke’s name became household currency in 2016 when she accidentally wandered into a high-profile photoshoot featuring British rapper Tinie Tempah. Celebrated photographer TY Bello captured the moment, and the image catapulted the then-unknown bread seller into instant fame.

She graced magazine covers, walked runways, and became a symbol of unexpected grace. But after a few years, she faded from the public eye, leading many to wonder what had become of her.

In 2024, Olajumoke returned to the spotlight as a radio presenter with her talk show Kilon Shele, where she planned to share her personal story, including her experiences with exploitative managers who took advantage of her lack of education.

She also recounted experiences of domestic abuse at the hands of her ex-husband Sunday Orisaguna.
