Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to embrace love, sacrifice and compassion as they celebrate Easter, describing the season as a symbol of hope rooted in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In her Easter message for 2026, the First Lady highlighted the significance of the occasion, noting that Christ’s resurrection represents the enduring power of love and the promise of hope for humanity.
She urged citizens to use the period to reflect on the needs of others, particularly the vulnerable, and to extend kindness and support within their communities.
“As we celebrate Easter with our loved ones, friends, neighbours and communities, let us remember those in need and extend compassion and support wherever we can,” she said.
Senator Tinubu further encouraged Nigerians to embody the values of unity and selflessness, stressing the importance of collective efforts in building a peaceful and prosperous nation.
She added that the spirit of Easter should inspire citizens to uplift one another and make sacrifices where necessary for the greater good.
