Michael Ilesanmi, the Nigerian known for his role on the reality TV series 90 Day Fiancé, has finalised his divorce from his estranged wife and fellow cast member Angela Deem.
The pair first crossed paths in 2018 during the second season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.
Their relationship culminated in marriage in 2020, and a significant milestone was reached in December 2023 when Ilesanmi relocated from Nigeria to the United States to live with Deem in Jefferson County, Georgia.
However, their reunion was short-lived. In 2024, just two months after he arrived in the US, Deem reported Ilesanmi was missing.
She claimed he had left their shared apartment without his passport or other essential documents and stated she had filed a missing person report with local law enforcement.
In the wake of his disappearance, Deem alleged that throughout their relationship, Ilesanmi had used her primarily to gain entry and secure residency in the US.
Ilesanmi, who resurfaced shortly after the missing person report, countered her claims in a statement on his Instagram page.
He accused Deem of physical assault and launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for what he described as his legal battle.
He further alleged that his estranged wife was actively “trying to discredit me” amid their ongoing divorce proceedings.
On Tuesday, Ilesanmi shared a video celebrating the finalisation of their divorce. In the clip, he expressed relief and gratitude, holding up the official paperwork.
“Finally, I am divorced. Here is the paperwork. I am right here in Georgia. I want to appreciate everyone for the love and support. It has not been an easy journey. Single life here I come,” he said.
