Saidi Balogun, the Nollywood actor, has joined Faithia Williams, his former spouse, at her mum’s wake-keeping.

In a now-viral video, the former couple were seen in a sombre mood as they led a group of family members, friends, and sympathisers to honour the late Gloria Williams who died in February.

The wake-keeping took place in Ikorodu, Lagos. The interment and lying in state will be held on Saturday at Ebony Vaults inside the Ikoyi Cemetery.

The public appearance together is not an isolated incident, however.

Earlier in February, the pair sparked curiosity among followers when they exchanged warm birthday wishes on social media, celebrating their shared special day.

The pair were married for several years, a union that produced two children — a son and a daughter.

They officially parted ways in 2014. Williams continued using Balogun until 2017, when she reverted to her maiden name.

Williams entered the industry unexpectedly when her uncle asked her to fill in for an absent actress on the set of ‘Ta Lo Pa Chief,’ marking her film debut.

She has since starred in notable productions such as ‘A Tribe Called Judah,’ ‘Aje Meta,’ and ‘Mokalik’.

Balogun, on the other hand, has long been established as a leading figure, particularly within the Yoruba-language sector of Nollywood.

The pair are set to share the screen again in the upcoming historical epic ‘Efunroye: The Unicorn,’ where they portray central characters.
