Cubana Chief Priest, the socialite, has engaged in a heated war of words with Isaac, the brother of Ayodele Fayose, former Ekiti governor, over his comment about Igbo people.
The feud began on Monday when Fayose accused them of turning their backs on Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), while throwing their support behind President Bola Tinubu.
“All of you forgot about Nnamdi Kanu in prison, but the Yoruba have been able to help Sunday Igboho, and all his sins are forgiven. Now he is set to take a royal title in Ile Ife, while Nnamdi is in Sokoto. Meanwhile, all of you are wearing mandate caps…,” he said.
Cubana, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, swiftly responded via Instagram. The socialite defended his support for the current administration, insisting that his alignment with Tinubu is a strategic business decision rather than a betrayal of his people.
He dismissed the idea that Igbos should take on the role of opposition activists to secure Kanu’s release, arguing that as a businessman, he cannot afford to antagonise the government.
He further stated that he employs over 1,000 people and cannot lead them by fighting the government.
“@isaacfayoseoriginal_ guy you no really get sense, wetin over 30 governors align to na wetin ordinary business man align to and you dey cry. Power pass power, you want me to negotiate the release of Nnamdi Kanu by being opposition, tell me the name of the Yoruba business man that released Sunday Igboho & also tell me which Yoruba man you wan use compare Asiwaju as you claim,” he wrote.
“Well you are a complete fool I want to challenge you to a business debate let the world see both of us who has traces to his wealth. Your brother was governor for eight years what were you able to achieve for the people you are worried about Obi Cubana and Chief Priest. Very useless & jealous guy.
“You have more money than me but choose to be simple you be better ode you entire net worth is in my wardrobe as shoes, cloths, bags, watches and accessories. I have over 1,000 people who work under my initiatives and I can’t lead them with fighting government. I have choose my part and that is business & Politics.
“My son Donald has a well known business with branches as young as he is talk more of the mother, brother and then me the father. In my family every member of the family owns an active business to his or her name.”
Chief Priest accused Fayose of being driven by resentment over his success. He reaffirmed his loyalty to the Tinubu administration, comparing his stance to that of prominent billionaires like Aliko Dangote, Abdulsamad Rabiu, Allen Onyema, and Femi Otedola.
“My name grows business I can count multi nationals that have engaged my services till date as Africa’s biggest PR and that’s why it’s paining you that an asset like me is working for Pres. Tinubu. See bro I have choose to be a friend of the government like Dangote, Bua, Air Peace & Otedola,” he added.
“I have so many business ideas in my head that all I need is funding to execute and a simple memo from government can help me with an amazing loan for BOI. Bro fight your government I no wan follow you fight. The coast is clear for President Tinubu to return and I am seriously aligning to it with my people. if you think you can do otherwise do it for yourself and don’t recruit me to join you I am not an activist.
“As for me and my family we have decided to stay with the moving train Renewed Hope. I built a country home in my community I love my home, in my city capital you will lose counts when you count my real estate and businesses.
“I have built my cities hospitality in over a decade, I have inspired so many to come home and invest in home and you feel you love lgbo land more than me. What have you built in your state even after being in power for eight years. I pour you spit guy, jealousy go finish you.”
