The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has scheduled a pre-bid conference to discuss eligibility terms for the 2025 petroleum licensing round.
In a statement on Thursday, Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, chief executive officer (CEO) of NUPRC, said the pre-bid conference will hold in Lagos on January 14.
“The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) is proud to announce the 2025 licensing round pre-bid conference scheduled for 9am Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at the Grand Ballroom, Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos,” the commission said.
“This announcement is sequel to a notice already published by the NUPRC in foreign and local newspapers in line with the Petroleum Industry Act.
“The focus areas of the upcoming pre-bid conference include: The implementation timetable, the bid package preparation, eligibility terms; and the assessment and the winners’ determination procedure.”
The NUPRC urged interested members of the public to register for the pre-bid conference through its dedicated portal.
On December 1, the NUPRC announced the official commencement of the 2025 petroleum licensing round, targeting about $10 billion in new investments.
The commission, on December 9, said the federal government had reduced the signature bonus for the 2025 petroleum licensing round to between $3 million and $7 million.
