Emmanuel Myam, the 25-year-old Nigerian adventurer popularly known as Emmiwuks, has arrived in Côte d’Ivoire in his solo bicycle journey from Lagos to the United States.

Emmiwuks kicked off his cross-continental quest on July 1, cycling through Benin Republic, Togo, and Ghana in just 10 days.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the cyclist shared an update on his journey in the Ivorian nation.

He disclosed that he is grateful and determined to continue riding for orphans, IDPs, the vulnerable, and dreamers across Africa.

“Day 31 NIG 2 USA on bicycle. Welcome to République Côte d’Ivoire . A new day, a new country, a new chapter on this journey from Nigeria to the USA. I crossed into Côte d’Ivoire with gratitude in my heart and purpose in my pedals,” he wrote.

“From Ghana’s warmth to this new land’s embrace, the mission continues, for the orphans, the IDPs, the vulnerable, and the dreamers across Africa. Africa, I’m not done yet. Let’s keep riding and writing this story together. Bonjour Côte d’Ivoire.”

The Benue state native, who gained fame in 2022 for cycling from Makurdi to Lagos to meet music star Davido, earlier revealed that his inspiration stems from personal struggles and a near-death experience in 2023.

He added that he aims to raise awareness and support for orphaned and displaced children affected by conflict across Africa.
