Angela Okorie, the actress, has apologised to her colleague Mercy Johnson, and Ned Nwoko, the lawmaker, putting an end to their months-long feud.

The conflict between Okorie and Johnson escalated in June when Okorie, 39, claimed her colleague was battling “an ailment she does not wish my enemies”.

She further accused her colleague of using “church words” that did not reflect her true character and urged her to seek forgiveness from those she had wronged.

Though Johnson initially responded with a cryptic post addressing online attacks, she later chose not to engage further.

The drama expanded to include Regina Daniels, actress and wife of Nwoko, who exchanged harsh words with Okorie on Instagram.

Okorie retaliated by referring to Daniels’ husband as an “ancestor” and associating him with “dirty people,” saying she could never have a relationship with them.

She also claimed that Daniels had ruined her reputation with her husband after he expressed interest in casting Okorie in a movie

However, in a recent Instagram post, Okorie extended an olive branch, admitting that her emotions had gotten the better of her.

She apologised to Johnson, acknowledging that her words had been hurtful and expressing regret over the situation.

“I am human, and when my emotions take over, I speak from the heart, often saying things directly as they come to me, especially when I felt hurt,” she wrote.

“Once I’ve expressed myself, I forget about it and move on, but I realize now that my utterances whether uttered from the place of pain or not was hurtful, some events that has happened these past days made me realize that I should have done better. I feel so sorry having realized how this gets to you, Mercy.”

She also emphasised the importance of Johnson’s mental well-being and asked for forgiveness.

“Your mental health is very important now and ever & I wouldn’t wish you and your family worse, that’s not my nature, and you know it, Do find a place in your heart to forgive me,” she said.

“I’ve also been the target of lies, betrayal, and unwarranted attacks. Bloggers have spread false information, and people have created videos filled with blatant lies.

“The betrayal has been overwhelming, but I forgive everyone who has hurt me and leave them to face their own conscience.

Okorie also apologised for her outburst towards Nwoko, admitting that her reaction had been disproportionate.

She reminded him of their past positive interactions and expressed remorse for her actions.

“Furthermore, My sincere apology also goes to Senator Ned Nwoko, I understand that, my anger in trying to make a reply didn’t find you in a good state, it was as a reaction of an unprovoked bashing and attack that was blown out of proportion,” she added.

“I truly reacted in a way I now recognise wasn’t pleasant. I cannot intentionally disrespect you for whatever reason. To buttress this, I remember being part of your political campaign, the one you brought ZuleZoo, myself & other artists.

“I have also honored your family’s yearly children’s carnival when invited; All these have made me realize that being at peace is better than war or fight, I deeply regret my actions and am sorry.”
