Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the former minister of women affairs and social development, has returned to Nollywood with a new movie.
Kennedy-Ohanenye was appointed by President Bola Tinubu as the minister of women affairs on August 21, 2023.
Tinubu, however, sacked her along with four other ministers from his cabinet on October 23, 2024.
Following her exit from office, the 51-year-old politician has continued her pursuit of a career in the Nigerian film industry.
In a post via X on Wednesday, Kennedy-Ohanenye announced the release of her lastest movie titled ‘Hatred’.
The ex-minister also shared the link to the film on Kenuj TV, her YouTube page.
She has previously appeared in films such as ‘Saving My Marriage’, ‘Hunting the Angel’, ‘Royal Ploy’, and ‘The Cow Girls’.
Kennedy-Ohanenye has worked with big names in the industry like Segun Arinze, Ngozi Ezeonu, Linda Osifo, and Francis Duru, among others.
Beyond acting, Kennedy-Ohanenye is a lawyer and entrepreneur. In 2015, she became a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
During the 2023 general elections, she declared her candidacy for presidency, making history as the first woman to do so under the APC.
She later withdrew from the presidential race and publicly endorsed Tinubu.
