Don Jazzy and Wizkid appear to have put their differences aside, months after their highly publicized social media feud.
The rift between the two music industry heavyweights began in April 2024 when Wizkid referred to Don Jazzy as an “influencer” in a social media post, which sparked widespread criticism from fans and followers.
Collins Enebeli Ajereh, Don Jazzy’s father, addressed the remark, which many users deemed as “derogatory”.
Ajereh stated that Wizkid was entitled to his opinion and urged fans not to make a fuss about the matter.
Don Jazzy reacted to the comment by unfollowing Wizkid on social media. The move further fueled speculation about the nature of their relationship.
However, a now-viral video showed Don Jazzy escorting Wizkid out of a building, with the two sharing a warm hug.
Wizkid also posted a heartwarming photo of the duo on his Instagram story, further solidifying the reconciliation.
Wizkid hinted at reconciliation in July 2024, describing Don Jazzy as an “amazing human”.
The music executive also appreciated the singer’s endorsement of his signee Ayra Starr’s sophomore album ‘The Year I Turned 21’ in May 2024.
Don Jazzy has gained notable influence in Nigerian music. He founded Mavin Records, a label that has produced internationally acclaimed music stars.
Wizkid, on the other hand, gained fame in 2011 when he released his debut album ‘Superstar’.
He is considered to be among the three biggest artistes in Nigeria.
