Selena Gomez, the US singer and actress, has revealed she is engaged to songwriter Benny Blanco.
In a recent Instagram post with her 423 million followers, the most-followed woman on the photo-sharing platform shared a photo of a large engagement ring with the caption “forever begins now”.
She also posted a picture of her and Blanco celebrating their engagement with laughs and a hug.
In the comment section, Blanco, 36, wrote: “Hey wait… that’s my wife” as congratulations pour in for the lovebirds.
Gomez, 32, and Blanco had known each other for years having collaborated on the 2019 single ‘I Can’t Get Enough’ with Tainy and J Balvin. They started dating in June 2023.
In August 2023, the singer released the Blanco-produced single Single Soon’. Last December, Gomez confirmed their relationship when she liked fan account posts on Instagram of the pair. She also commented “He is my absolute everything in my heart on one”.
In June, Gomez said she plans to adopt children if she is still single at age 35.
The actress also recently revealed that she won’t be able to give birth due to medical complications.
“I haven’t ever said this. But I unfortunately can’t carry my own children. I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while,” she had said.
Blanco is a celebrated producer who has worked with the likes of Ed Sheeran, BTS, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Halsey, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, and Kesha.
