Kizz Daniel, the Nigerian singer, has revealed why he cannot criticise Wizkid, his colleague.
In the late hours of Tuesday, an X user pleaded with the ‘Buga’ hitmaker to diss Wizkid.
“Diss Wizkid abeg I want check something,” the user wrote in pidgin English.
Reacting to the tweet in another post, Daniel said it would be a foolish act to disrespect Wizkid and Davido.
He added that both singers have contributed to the music industry and paved the way for other artistes to thrive.
“I bet 30BG will love this 🤣. Na Machala and Baddest workings most of us dey enjoy now,” he wrote.
“It will be unwise my brother ✌🏾. Respect the ones before you.”
Daniel rose to stardom in 2015 following the release of his single titled ‘Woju’.
He signed a record deal with G-Worldwide Entertainment in 2013 but left the label following a contract dispute and court case.
The 30-year-old then floated Flyboy Inc, his record label, in November 2017, but recently stepped down as the CEO.
Wizkid and Davido, on the other hand, are among the most prominent artistes in Africa.
The Afrobeat heavyweights have consistently engaged in heated war of words on social media, to the pleasure of their fans.
In April, Wizkid taunted Davido with a video of him on his knees, pleading and crying after a fan asked him to release new music. Davido also retaliated, labeling Wizkid’s career as “dead”.
Wizkid would later reignite their rift — after Davido announced his first single of 2024.
The ‘Made In Lagos’ hitmaker also mocked Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle who is the governor of Osun state.
